Before you connect your WhatsApp account with Peach, please make sure you have the following ready:
You need to have an admin account access to Meta's Business Manager when you connect your WhatsApp number to Peach. If you don't have a Business Manager account, go here and set it up first.
Please make sure your business meets the WhatsApp Commerce policy and other business policies by Meta.
This is the phone number you will be using for Peach WhatsApp API access. You will be required to verify access to this phone number via OTP (one-time password) text or via a phone call.
You can either set up a your WhatsApp API account using a fresh Phone number, or on an existing phone number.
If you have not set up WhatsApp App or WhatsApp Business App on this number, then this is as good as a new phone number.
If you have WhatsApp App or WhatsApp Business App set up on this phone number, you will be able to port this WhatsApp account into an API account. Please note, you won't be able to use the same number for WhatsApp Personal/Business App and WhatsApp API simultaneously.
If you are using a Personal or Business WhatsApp account on this phone number, you will LOSE ACCESS to the app, chat history and contact list.
If you have already set up a WhatsApp API account using another service provider, there are 2 ways to set up Peach:
- Migrate the WhatsApp API account to be managed by Peach
- Add a new phone number and set up a new WhatsApp API account managed by Peach.
You can add multiple API phone numbers to your WhatsApp Business account. The exact limit is based on the messaging tier your account is at. Initially, you can link up to 3 phone numbers to your account.
