Meta Business Manager Account
To connect your phone number to WhatsApp Business Platform, you need admin access to Meta Business Manager. Meta Business Manager account is used by businesses to manage their assets on the Meta platform. This includes Instagram accounts, Facebook pages, Messenger and WhatsApp accounts.
To create a Meta Business Manager account, you just need a valid Facebook account.
Is it ok to use personal Facebook Account for Business Manager?
You don't have to create a separate Facebook account with your business email ID to set up a Business Manager account. You can add one or more team members with different roles to your business manager account, remove them when they are no longer part of your company.
Steps to create Meta Business Manager
- Login to your Facebook account, or set up a new account (only if you don't have any Facebook property accounts)
- Go to business.facebook.com and create an account for your business (only if you don't have one already)
Facebook Account Suspension
New Business Manager accounts created from new Facebook accounts can often get suspended, as it triggers Meta's suspicious activities alert (spammers do this, so Meta prefers that you create accounts from existing Facebook accounts).
If you get suspended, you can get it revoked after verifying your identiy by providing a government issued ID.
